Geo-dynamic background and energy characteristics on occurrence of strong underground pressure in Tongxin Coal Mine

The occurrence of strong underground pressure brings great serious threats to the safe and efficient production in Tongxin Coal Mine. The occurrence mechanism of strong underground pressure was analyzed from the aspects of regional dynamic background and energy characteristics respectively. The regional dynamic background of Tongxin Coal Mine was evaluated from identification index containing mining depth, in-situ stress, tectonic movement, faults structure, roof rock and surrounding area condition. It was determined that the mine possess the occurrence danger of strong underground pressure. Meanwhile, it is clarified that the natural geological dynamic background is a necessary factor for the occurrence of strong underground pressure. On the other hand, the scale and energy releasing characteristics of the dynamic system were analyzed and determined by use of establishing the mine dynamic system. Through theories of the key layer and material mechanics, the energy transmission and attenuation while the key layers cycle breaking under mining were analyzed. The results demonstrates that combination of the releasing energy caused by the key layer broken and the reserving energy in the mine dynamic system is a sufficient factor for the occurrence of strong underground pressure. The research results will provide a theoretical basis for the prediction and controlling of the occurrence of strong underground pressure.
