Study on influence of fault structure on gas occurrence law in deep mine based on fractal theory

In order to study the gas occurrence regularity and main control factors in deep mine, this paper uses the method of field and experiment to measure the gas pressure and gas content in deep coal seam of Panxi, analyzes the distribution law of gas pressure and gas content in coal seam trend and inclination, and concludes that with the increase of excavation depth,coal seam gas pressure and gas content are increasing trend. Micro-test of coal sample by SEM is carried out to analyze the characteristics of micro-failure of coal seam, and it is found that the micro-structure is uneven and all kinds of fractures develop, which leads to poor gas storage condition. Based on the fractal theory, the quantitative study of fault structure is carried out to explore the failure law of geologic structure to coal seam, the fractal dimension of fault can reflect the complexity of geologic structure, and the calculated fractal dimension is between 0.7-1.6. With the increase of fractal dimension, the more complex the fault structure, the higher the gas pressure and gas content in the region with more fractal dimension. Finally, obtaining the fault geologic structure by comprehensive analysis is the main controlling factor affecting the gas occurrence of deep coal seam in Panxi coal mine. The research of this paper has more pertinence to the prevention and cure of gas disaster in Panxi coal mine, and it has important theoretical value and practical significance to promote coal mine safety production, gas exploitation and utilization.
