In the changing globalized world, the internationalization of the curriculum becomes an important part of higher education, yet little has been touched upon China’s sport universities or colleges. Therefore, this research integrates the idea of internationalization into the curriculum design of Sports English taking Beijing Sport University as a typical case. Firstly,the research summarizes the existing problems and students’ needs based upon 568 questionnaires collected from English majors in China’s Sport universities or colleges. Then, the research discusses the guiding principles from the perspective of internationalization and introduces the design of Sports English curriculum in Beijing Sport University from the aspects of the construction and implementation of curriculum system, teaching methodologies and the internationalization of teaching staffs, etc. Finally, this research aims to shed some lights for ESP teaching in China’s sports universities or colleges and also provide some references for the internationalization of ESP courses in the new era.
