Abstract:This thesis focuses on the background of ESP English learning strategy study, the main research topic at home and abroad, the empirical research in this field of our country, and the questions to be further discussed, and the theory framework of ESP English learning strategy—definition and classification—to be discussed simply. And on this basis, have Wen Qiufang’s learning strategy theory as the main research framework and learning strategy questionnaire that she designed for Chinese college students as a foundation. The questionnaire to be modified on the basis and the interview outline of English learning strategies—change according to the students — are regarded as research tools. Adopt the hybrid method, namely, the combination methods of quantitative research and qualitative research, and analysis the characteristics of ESP English learning strategies of non-English major undergraduate students and the existing problems. Through this research, provide the effective help for students to learn ESP courses better, and, more importantly, develop students' ability of learning. According to the environment, English discipline characteristic, their own situations, master and properly use effective learning strategies, form the consciousness and the ability of self-learning, improve the learning effect and finally obtain the lifelong learning ability. The investigation and research of this paper will give the ESP teaching of English majors in China some certain enlightenment and play a role in better educating students in the future.
