Context: In modern world Software outsourcing is a common practice for organizations to improve their business, hiring highly expert staff and reduce their cost. Despite of numerous advantages there are several elements that affect the quality of software outsourcing.
Objective: The objective of our research project is to develop software outsourcing quality challenges model (SOQCM) from vendor’s perspective. The proposed model will assist offshore software development outsourcing (OSDO) vendor organizations to gauge their quality capability for outsourcing software development.
Method: We have planned to collect the data from the literature through systematic literature review (SLR). Findings of SLR will be verified through empirical study and the final developed model will be evaluated through case study by experts in software outsourcing industry.
Outcome: The main purpose of our research project SOQCM to support vendor organization in order to deal with the quality related issues of offshore software development outsourcing. Furthermore, an app will be developed on the basis of our findings that will support OSDO vendor to check their quality capability for outsourcing software development.
