Research on Resistive Current Monitoring Method of AC Filter Arrester in Converter Station

The resistance current of the AC filter arrester in converter station wasis of great importance to the evaluation of the equipments. The operating environment of the AC filter arrester in converter station was introduced in this paper. The problems needed to be solved in the resistive current test of the AC filter arrester in converter station were emphatically analyzed. On this basis, a method based on harmonic filter was proposed to test the resistive current of the filter arrester. The accuracy of the monitoring method was carried out in the field. The results show that the accuracy of the test method was high, and it was an effective converter station AC filter arrester resistance current monitoring technology.
