The active noise control (ANC) technology has been the main application method at present, and the optimal selection of the number, location, amplitude and phase of secondary sources is a core issue. This study mainly starts from the optimization of the secondary sound source layout to improve the noise reduction performance of ANC system. In order to simplify a series of processes such as calculation and simulation, we analyzed the noise propagation characteristics of the power transformer and equalized it into a pulsating ball source model. The sum of the squares of all the monitoring points’ sound pressure was selected by mathematical derivation as the objective function of the optimization. In this study, the multi-coupled secondary sound source parameters were optimized by using the established transformer sound field radiation model in combination with the field environment. Considering the interaction between the secondary sound source location and the sound source strength, we decided to use the Monte Carlo method to optimize the location and strength variables of the secondary sound source to eliminate the effects of their interactions as much as possible. Then the location and strength parameters under different numbers of secondary sound sources were obtained respectively. This study combined COMSOL software to verify the feasibility of the research method. In addition, we compared it with other optimization method. The final simulation results show that the method has the better active noise reduction effect.
