Liquid fuel such as bio-gasoline derived from biomass is widely recognized as a potential substitution for the diminishing fossil fuels due to its abundance of raw materials and lower greenhouse gas emissions.
In this work,The Ru-Mo/CMK-3 catalyst is prepared by a stepwise impregnation method, and C1-C6 alcohols are prepared by hydrothermal selective hydrodeoxygenation using sorbitol as a reaction raw material. The research contents include: exploring the effects of reaction temperature, hydrogen pressure and reaction time on the selective hydrodeoxygenation of sorbitol in slurry bed; comparing the catalytic conversion results of sorbitol in slurry bed and fixed bed under suitable conditions.
The experimental results show that in the slurry bed, the main products of sorbitol hydrodeoxygenation are alkanes and small amount of alcohols, but the conversion rate can reach 80% or more; in the fixed bed, Under the reaction conditions of 250 °C, 4 MPa H2 , main products of sorbitol hydrodeoxygenation are C1-C6 alcohols, The yield of alcohols are 57.83% and its selectivity are 66.26%.
