Aiming at the fact of the heavy workload and high cost in the construction, operation and maintenance of power distribution system, the connotation and implementation of the plug and play technology for distribution equipment are analyzed based on the value brought by the Internet of Things (IoT) which can improve the automation level of present distribution system and reduce the workload of system construction and daily maintenance.
