Protecting circuit contains saturable reactor, snubber circuit and voltage equalizing circuit. HEMP will bring huge over-voltage condition to converter valve. In order to ensure the safety and stability of converter valve. This paper studies the over-voltage distribution of protecting circuit under HEMP condition mainly.
