In this paper, a distributed multi level hierarchical control and protection system is proposed which reformed the protection system based on the view of central current breakers and constructed with a kind of interval functions integrated secondary equipment. First, a multi-level regional division method faced to central circuit breaker is established, which treats every region at all levels as the objects of protection. Second, a distributed interval function deployment scheme based on integrated secondary equipment is proposed to realize the multi level hierarchical control and protection function. Finally, the integrated network structure for intra- and inter-station communication is established with the requirements of corresponding communication functions and network security policy to multi level portect regions. The proposed protection system is valid with self-adaptive configuration characteristic, and is suitable for dealing with the associated fault of power grid.
