Under 5-10 times pesticide fertilizers loading, the concentration and health risks of heavy metals was the main problem in Greenhouse Cultivation System (GCS). In this study, the concentration of As, Cd, Cr, Cu, Pb, Cu and Zn with health risks in soil and plant food under GCS in central Shaanxi (CS) and north Shaanxi (NS) were analysis and assessment. The heavy metals accumulation of soil in CS were high than NS. But the concentration of food in NS show higher food pollution than NS particularly Cr in leafy vegetable. Compare with fresh fruits and fruits vegetables, leaf vegetables had relatively high concentrations of heavy metals. The order of transfer factors (TF) in fresh fruits and fruit vegetables were Cu > Zn > Cd > Cr > As > Pb, but Cd showed relatively larger TF than other elements in leafy vegetable. The target hazard quotient (THQ) of heavy metals followed the order of As > Cu > Zn > Cd > Pb > Cr in fresh fruits and vegetables and all THQ values was lower than 1 except As in NS from leafy vegetables in study area. Soil threshold values of As about leafy vegetable in alkaline soil base on STV was 10.85 which was stricter than the current stander. The study reveal the health risks associated with the heavy metals through fruits and vegetables from GCS and future soil management in northwest china.
