There is an innovative trend in English major education recently due to the need from current marketing society in China. Business English, as one of main areas in English major, is also calling for innovation. It is reported that many business English graduates may be considered as not professional in business domain in recent society due to the limitations in teaching faculty and curriculum. In contrast to teaching Business English by English teachers in most of Chinese universities, Business English course in the Department of English in Sino-British Universities is co-delivered by both English teachers at the Department of English and subject teachers from the School of Business. Therefore, it is interesting to explore the effective teaching in Business English in Sino-British University context. This study will conduct a comparative analysis between one Sino-British university and one Chinese university in terms of business English teaching status, curriculum and teaching faculty. This research will adopt a combination of quantitative and qualitative methods including questionnaires and interviews. Participants are consisted of students and teachers from the three universities. It aims to investigate the potential innovative areas in Business English and provide some suggestions for curriculum innovation in Business English in China.
