Multilingualism is defined as “ the co-presence of two or more languages” (Grutman 2009) while translation takes place “ between linguistically and geographically separated cultures” (Reine 2013). ELT Translation involves implicitly or explicitly three languages of Mongolian, Chinese and English for ethnic minority Mongolian students in Inner Mongolia of China. This paper tells the challenges for ELT Translation in multilingual realities from the levels of Institution, intermedia and individual in hope of providing some references for future ethnic education development.
