基于新课标在高中英语教学中培养看的能力 ----以高中英语北师大版教材为例

《普通高中英语课程标准》(2017版2020年修订)指出英语课程内容是发展学生英语学科核心素养的基础,包含六个要素。六要素中,语言技能是语言运用能力的重要组成部分。语言技能包括听、说、读、看、写等方面的技能。听、读、看是理解性技能。说和写是表达性技能。语言技能中的看通常指利用多模态语篇中的图形、表格、动画、符号以及视频等理解意义的技能。理解多模态语篇除了需要使用传统的文本阅读技能之外,还需要观察图表中的信息、理解符号和动画的意义。鉴于这种技能在新媒体时代日趋重要,本课程标准在语言技能中增加了“看”的技能。

笔者在本论文中以北师大2019版教材为教学和研究材料,使用教材中看(Viewing Workshop)的视频和文本材料,通过设计课前、课上和课下教学活动来训练学生看的技能和培养学生看的态度,提升看的能力。看的技能包括识别和理解视频及文本信息;分析和推断视频和文本传递的深层信息,以及对视频和文本信息的评价和批判性的审视视频和文本材料。看的态度包括看的目的性,思考性和记录性。

 



 Cultivating the Viewing Ability in High School English Teaching based on English Curriculum Standard of Senior High School

Abstract

According to the document of English Curriculum Standard of Senior High School (2017 Edition 2020 Revision),High School English course contents are the basis for developing students' core competencies of the English subject, including six elements, of which language skills are the important constituent parts of pragmatic competence. Language skills refer to the abilities to use the language, divided into understanding skills and expressive skills, including listening, speaking, reading, viewing and writing, etc. Listening, reading, viewing are understanding skills, speaking and writing are expressing skills.

In language skills, viewing usually refers to the understanding skills by using figures, tables, animations, symbols and videos in multimodal discourse. In order to understand multimodal discourse, we need not only to use traditional text reading skills, but also to observe the information in the chart, understand the meaning of symbols and animation. In view of the increasing importance of viewing in the new media era, this curriculum standard adds “viewing” in language skills.

The author arranged the pre-class activities, organized class tasks and assigned after-class assignments to train students’ viewing skills,cultivate their viewing attitudes and promote the viewing ability. The viewing skills are composed of recognizing and understanding the viewing materials; analyzing and inferring the further information and evaluation of the viewing materials. The viewing attitudes mean to lead students to view the materials with purposes, reflection and recording.
