Modelling of RMP controlling ELM in EAST is obtained by using JOREK for the first time. To investigate the ELM evolution in EAST, EAST equilibrium has been transformed and checked in JOREK. To effectively control ELM, the most unstable mode without RMP is given on the basis of EAST equilibrium. In particular the characteristics of the most unstable mode representing ELM are given. Further, RMP spectra in EAST have been transformed and benchmarked in JOREK. Finally, n=1 RMP strongly mitigated ELM in EAST is reproduced using JOREK. The success of RMP controlling ELM simulation in EAST using JOREK stimulates further investigation of physical understanding towards RMP controlling ELM in EAST in the future.
