As an excellent insulating material, polyimide is widely used in solar panels and electrode slot insulation. In the research of cable X-ray radiation effect and X-ray system electromagnetic pulse effect, the generated X-ray will affect the dielectric properties of polyimide material and reduce the service life of the equipment. The radiation-induced conductivity is directly related to the surface and deep charging phenomena of materials, which is one of the critical parameters to study the radiation effect. Based on the steady-state X-ray radiation-induced conductivity test system, the polyimide film samples were tested under the bias electric field of 0.8 ~ 4 kV/mm. The results show that the radiation-induced conductivity is in the order of 10-15 Ω-1·cm-1. At the same time, a linear relationship is found between the radiation-induced conductivity and the bias electric field in a particular range under different dose rates of X-ray radiation.
