摘要
With the development of UHVDC transmission project, synchronous condenser has attracted much attention because of its superior dynamic reactive power compensation ability. However, the failure risk of synchronous condenser will bring hidden dangers to the safe operation of power grid. In this paper, the stator inter-turn fault in different winding topologies of synchronous condenser are compared. Firstly, the mathematical models of different winding topologies are derived. Then the equivalence of phase resistance and inductance are analyzed based on the equivalent operation principle. The short circuit-current, short-circuit resistance and short-circuit ratio are analyzed in the fault state. The analysis result is helpful to the unification of stator inter-turn short-circuit fault diagnosis method of different topologies. Finally, the analysis has been validated by simulated results.
