Abstract—As renewable energy sources have low output voltage levels and intermittent power generation, high gain boost converters are needed to improve the voltage level when powering equipment with renewable energy sources. Aiming to deal with the issue of low output voltage level, a high voltage gain boost converter is put forward with the introduction of a switched capacitor unit. The put forward converter uses two switch tubes and the driving signals of the two switch tubes are synchronized, which greatly simplifies the control strategy. It is specifically analyzed the operating principle and characteristics of the put forward converter and compared with the existing high gain boost converter. Finally, the theoretical analysis of the put forward dual-switch non-isolated boost converter is verified by the simulation results.
