Single Line-to-Ground Fault Section Location Method Based on the Phase Angle Difference of Measurement Admittances

摘要
When the active arc suppression device is applied in the distribution network, the fault characteristics are changed, so the existing single line-to-ground fault line selection methods may misjudge. A novel method based on the phase angle of three phase measurement admittances is proposed, which can directly locate the fault section to narrow the fault determination range.  The proposed method is applicable to both the neutral ineffectively grounded systems and the distribution network with application of the active arc suppression device. The judgment result of the method is not affected by the transition resistance and the asymmetry of three phase parameters. Simulations in MATLAB/Simulink verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.
