摘要
Material flow analysis (MFA) is one of the most widely accepted and utilized tools in the industrial-ecology discipline that measures the input-output materials and examines the pathways within the whole system. In the infrastructure sector it is used as a tool to measure the material stock in a region. In this study, by using the bottom-up approach of MFA, a materials stock model of Nanjing’s road system was built. The urban road system has been evaluated in region level. The results show that the total material stock of road system in Nanjing is 114 Billion KG and macadam usage accounts for 79.5%. Based on the analysis, it is suggested that material consumption associated with road system, and the construction of expressways could consume a large amount of materials, which can be used to optimize urban infrastructure planning and resource allocating.
