An Optimization Strategy for Distribution Network Reconfiguration Considering Integration of Electric Vehicles

The vulnerability and network loss of active distribution network (ADN) will be influenced with the integration of distributed generation (DG) and electric vehicles (EVs). In order to solve this problem, a double-layer optimization model considering reactive power optimization of electric vehicle charging stations (EVCS) and network reconfiguration is proposed. The upper-layer model optimizes the line switch state combination of ADN to reduce the vulnerability value of ADN. The lower-layer model optimizes reactive power of EVCS to reduce the network loss of ADN. Particle swarm optimization (PSO) is used to solve this optimal problem. Finally, the effectiveness and correctness of the proposed optimal model is validated by IEEE 33-bus distribution system.
