By tracing the history of traffic signal control and artificial intelligence, analyzing the limitations of existing hardware and software architecture and the lag of the algorithm in the field of traffic control , to discuss how to apply artificial intelligence technology to traffic signal control system better, including front roadside unit, the middle signal control machine and the back end signal control server, so that traffic facilities can see, listen, say, calculate, think, make decisions and dispatch, to establish an all-round, multi-level traffic control "brain", make the road traffic control more accurate, more real-time and more convenient.
