Carbon ecological security assessment based on the decoupling relationship between carbon balance pressure and ecological quality in Xuzhou City, China
Carbon balance and ecological quality are closely related to regional ecological security, and scientific assessment based on carbon ecological security is particularly important. This study aims to construct the carbon ecological security assessment model based on the decoupling relationship between carbon balance pressure and ecological quality in Xuzhou City from 2005 to 2020 and to provide a reference for high-quality, sustainable development. The results show that the carbon balance pressure of counties showed "low-high-low" from east to west in 2005, and most counties tended to be a carbon balance and surplus in 2020. Then, the ecological quality of counties showed an overall upward trend during the study period. From 2010 to 2020, protection and restoration drove the response and immune index growth in Xuzhou, while the ecological quality of Peixian and Suining counties improved significantly. The Tapio decoupling model shows that 90% of counties in the "13th Five-Year Plan" stage are in a solid decoupling state, and the overall decoupling process is ideal. Finally, the carbon ecological security of counties showed individual differences in the general upward trend, and the carbon balance pressure of Gulou, Quanshan became the main factor restraining the carbon ecological security. In conclusion, analyzing the decoupling relationship between carbon balance and ecological quality and exploring the construction and evaluation of the· carbon ecological security assessment model are conducive to realizing regional green and low-carbon development.
