The effectiveness of the introduction of modern equipment and technology in subsurface use depends on the compliance of the design features of machines and mechanisms with the natural conditions of mineral deposits, which imposes special requirements on the surveying service of mining enterprises, designed to ensure rational and safe subsurface use.

The mining and geometric representation of geological objects is the basis for determining the optimal relationship between natural, technical and economic factors in the conditions of applying innovative methods of proper design, development of deposits, optimal management of mining development, the expedient use of modern technology and technology and rational processing of mineral raw materials.

The Surveying service of mining enterprises displays the dynamics of the study and spatial placement of subsurface indicators and the development of mining and technological processes in the form of geological and mathematical models of the rock massif and the deposit. Such a model makes it possible to significantly rationalize the solution of many current and prospective tasks of operational exploration and development of deposits, opening reserves to increase productivity and reduce the cost of mining and processing of minerals, and solve other topical issues of optimal use of the subsoil.

A geological and mathematical model of a rock massif and a deposit is the basis for the correct design of mines, mines, quarries of the future as a set of probabilistic and static characteristics and mining and geometric graphs that display in space and time the entire complex of information about the deposit and mining production processes.

Therefore, the normative legal documents fix as the main task of the surveying service in Uzbekistan - the development a priori of a geological and mathematical model of a rock massif and a mineral deposit, which forms the professional skills and responsibility of becoming surveyors-navigators of subsoil development.

The Department of Surveying and Geodesy of Tashkent State Technical University trains bachelors in the field of Surveying and masters in the same specialty, as well as highly qualified scientific personnel, conducts theoretical research and practical developments on topical issues of rational and safe subsoil use, including geological and mathematical modeling of deposits and processes, occurring in the rock massif as a result of mining of deposits by underground and open methods.

The organizer of the training of mining engineers-surveyors in Uzbekistan (1968) is a well-known scientist, academician V.R. Rakhimov.

The School of Higher surveying education of Academician V.R. Rakhimov has a good prospect in solving the problems of surveying for rational and safe subsurface use in the conditions of modernization and re-equipment of mining enterprises of Uzbekistan.
