As a new economic form of highly integrated development of a new generation of information technology and digital economy, digital intelligence integration has become a new driving force and a new engine to improve regional carbon emission performance. In order to explore the impact and mechanism of digital intelligence integration development on regional carbon emission performance, an evaluation index system of digital intelligence integration development was constructed. Based on the panel data of 30 provinces in China from 2014 to 2021, the entropy weight TOPSIS method was adopted to evaluate the development level of digital intelligence integration in China's provinces. The regression model and the intermediary effect model were used to analyze the effect and mechanism of digital intelligence integration on carbon emission performance. The findings are as follows: From 2014 to 2021, the development level of digital intelligence integration in China's provinces shows an obvious trend of "high in the east and low in the west" and increases year by year; The development of digital intelligence integration can significantly promote the improvement of regional carbon emission performance; The development of digital intelligence integration can promote the improvement of regional carbon emission performance by reducing energy intensity and optimizing industrial structure.
