In cold regions, there is a greater proportion of snowfall in the composition of precipitation, and a large amount of water resources in the water storage of the basin exist in the state of glaciers, snow and frozen soil. Therefore, the mechanism of regional runoff generation and confluence is extremely complex. under the background of global climate change, the water resources in the source region of the Yangtze Rive have changed greatly, especially the melting of glaciers and the change of precipitation pattern. n this paper, SWAT model is employed to simulate the runoff process of Zhimenda Hydrological Station in the source area of the Yangtze River. Based on the measured hydrometeorological station data and remote sensing geospatial data in the source area of the Yangtze River, the runoff process of Zhimenda Hydrological Station in the source area of the Yangtze River is simulated. The following conclusions are shown: (1) the determination coefficient (R2) and Nash-Sutcliffe efficiency coefficient (NSE) of the simulated and observed value in the calibration and validation periods of the model reached 0.88, 0.84 and 0.91, 0.87, respectively. The results show that the model performs well in runoff simulation in the source region of the Yangtze River. (2) ALPHA-BNK, SOL-K, SOL-BD, SMTMP, CN2, ESCO and SFTMP are more sensitive than others. (3) the runoff in the source area of the Yangtze River is mainly affected by the baseflow, soil characteristics, SCS runoff curve and snowmelt factors, and the baseflow is the main source of runoff supply.
