This study aims to validate a numerical model by comparing its performance with a partial dam-break model and a high-viscosity fluid model. The results reveal that the numerical model effectively simulates the dynamics of both perfect and viscoplastic fluid flows across various conditions. The comparison with the partial dam-break model highlights the numerical model's ability to accurately replicate the behavior of fluid flows in partial dam-break scenarios, capturing key features such as flow propagation and bore wave formation. Validation against the high-viscosity model demonstrates the model’s capability to simulate high-viscosity fluid flows, reinforcing its reliability in representing viscosplastic flow dynamics. This study advances the development of robust numerical models for predicting and managing viscoplastic fluids such as mudflows.
