摘要
We describe the influence of the electric filed across a resistor-divider made of solid state resistors on its sensitivity. The performance of a resistor-divider made from aqueous-electrolyte resistors, a D-dot sensor, and a resistor-divider of solid state resistors are compared. The experimental results demonstrate that the outputs of the aqueous-electrolyte resistor-divider and the D-dot are within 1% on the condition that the amplitude of the measured high-voltage pulse are in the range of 40~70 kV. The sensitivities of the monitors are almost unchanged in terms of the electric field across the sensors. However, the sensitivity of the resistor-divider made of solid state resistors is strongly influenced by the electric field. The experimental results show that the resistance of the solid state resistor is variable with respect to the electric field across it. The resistance will be degraded by 9% and 25% in case that the electric field increased from 0 to 5 kV/cm and from 0 to 10 kV/cm, respetively.
