In the direct-drive inertial confinement fusion, two-plasmon-decay instability(TPD) is considered the dominant source of hot electrons. We have studied TPD under the relative parameters of the direct drive experiments in OMEGA through particle-in-cell simulations when there is beam overlap. It is observed that the normal-incidence beam(Beam-N) and the large-angle-incidence beam(Beam-L) can commonly drive TPD when these two beam overlap, resulting in the generation of significant hot electrons. Once this configuration is formed, Beam-N can participate in the TPD process excited by Beam-L through the sharing of electron plasma waves, transfer energy to the hot electrons, and cause the potential preheating risk even if the intensity of Beam-N is below the TPD threshold. This may impose new requirements on the laser configuration for direct drive, as the threshold of Beam-L is much lower than that of Beam-N.
