Under the background of high-performance and lightweight demands in key fields such as aerospace and automotive industries, aluminum alloys, as a key material, has been applied in an increasingly wide range. With the continuous improvement of the strength of aluminum alloy materials and the increasing complexity of component shapes, traditional cold forming manufacturing technology has become inadequate to meet the processing requirements. Aluminum alloy materials hot forming technology is a method of plastic processing of aluminum alloy materials under high-temperature conditions, which can form thin-walled, complex-shaped components in one step and control the performance of the components. It is a hot topic in academic research and engineering applications. This paper systematically discusses hot forming technology, hot stamping forming processes, domestic and foreign hot stamping forming equipment. It also summarizes the challenges faced by aluminum alloy materials hot forming technology and equipment and looks forward to their future development trends in material innovation, process enhancement, intelligent equipment, and green low-carbon initiatives, aiming to provide references for the development direction of aluminum alloy materials hot forming technology and equipment.
