摘要
Cell Flux Models (CFMs) are coarse-grained models of diverse microbial cells that quantify their metabolic processes and molecular composition. The model formulas are developed based on physical and biochemical laws and informed by empirical evidence. Its simplicity and flexibility allow the model results to be tested with a wide variety of datasets. The model is computationally efficient and can be incorporated into ecological biogeochemical models of various scales. Currently, there are more than 20 different variations representing diverse functional groups of microorganisms, addressing unique scientific questions. In this talk, I will introduce the model with examples and its use, as well as typical data that we rely on, hoping to lead to further modeling-experimental collaborations.
