To improve the uniformity of surface displacement in quartz crystal resonators, this paper proposes a novel electrode design featuring rectangular double-ring structure. This paper studies the effects of the electrode region size ratio, the size of the non-electrode region, and the overall electrode size on the thickness-shear vibration characteristics of the quartz crystal resonator with the rectangular double-ring electrodes. The optimal electrode dimensions were identified. The results indicate that by rationally designing the electrode region size ratio, the size of the non-electrode region, and the overall electrode size, an approximately uniform vibration displacement distribution can be achieved in the central part of the quartz crystal resonator with the rectangular double-ring electrodes. Finally, by comparing the vibration displacement curves of quartz crystal resonators with rectangular electrode structures and circular double-ring electrodes structures, we find that the vibration displacement distribution of rectangular double-ring electrodes quartz crystal resonators is more uniform under the same dimensions.
