Abstract—This paper aims to eliminate the common mode voltage (CMV) in two-parallel converters. The presented analysis reveals that unwanted commutation causes deviations from ideal switching states, leading to unexpected instantaneous CMV. To address this, this paper introduces a model predictive control (MPC) strategy whose control set consists of vectors that output zero CMV. Leveraging the output current prediction, the proposed single-vector MPC ensures instantaneous selection of switching actions based on real-time output currents. This approach accurately selects required commutations, avoids unwanted switching states, and eliminates CMV.
