This paper addresses the coordinated optimization of wind-solar-storage systems in microgrids to enhance their operational economy. Recognizing that the inherent instability of wind and photovoltaic (PV) power generation and their temporal mismatch with load demand can lead to energy waste and reduced economic benefits, the study focuses on optimizing both the configuration and operational strategies of renewable generation and energy storage devices. The research includes an analysis of the economic performance of microgrids without energy storage, and investigates optimal operation strategies and electricity purchase plans when a 50kW/100kWh energy storage system is integrated. Utilizing linear and quadratic programming models, the study further optimizes the power and capacity configurations of energy storage to identify the most effective coordinated scheme. It also explores optimal energy storage strategies in the joint operation of multiple parks versus independent operation, and considers future scenarios with load growth and time-of-use pricing. The findings reveal that while high storage costs often outweigh benefits in most parks, optimized configurations can improve economic performance in some cases. Additionally, joint operation significantly reduces wasted wind and solar energy, lowers operational costs, and enhances economic efficiency.
