This study examines the prevalence of animal trypanosomiasis (surra and dourine) in horses and camels across Kazakhstan. Using diagnostic tools like the complement fixation test (CFT), formalin reaction, and PCR, it highlights regional variations in infection rates and the discrepancies between different diagnostic methods. The results emphasize the importance of combining multiple diagnostic approaches for accurate surveillance and control of these zoonotic diseases, which pose significant threats to animal health and the country's socio-economic development.
