Spread and Genetic Analysis of Coronaviruses in Domestic Animals: A Study from Kazakhstan

This study focuses on monitoring the spread of coronaviruses among domestic animals in Kazakhstan and isolating viral strains for genetic analysis. The research investigates the potential for cross-species transmission, particularly between companion animals and humans, using PCR and Vero cell culture methods. The isolated virus, "CCoV_Almaty_KZ_2022," was fully characterized and deposited in GenBank. Findings highlight the need for further research into interspecies transmission, contributing to our understanding of coronavirus ecology in animal populations.
