Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is one of the significant global threats caused by the overuse and misuse of antimicrobial agents in agriculture, particularly in livestock. Therefore, this research aims to understand AMR-related policies, identify best practices for farm-level AMR control, and formulate evidence-based recommendations for strengthening regulatory frameworks, particularly in developing countries. The study will use a mixed-methods approach. A literature review and policy analysis will be conducted using a Positive Deviance Model (PDM) to analyze successful case studies to investigate current policies and regulations affecting effective AMR control program implementations across the globe. Actionable recommendations will then be formulated based on the study findings to reduce AMR at the farm level. Ultimately, this research contributes to the broader One Health initiative by promoting sustainable antimicrobial use and enhancing global health resilience through improved stewardship.
