Nervous Necrosis Virus(NNV) infects many kinds of marine fish speices, and it can lead to high mortality of fish fry. There are four types of NNV based on its capsid gene, BFNNV, RGNNV, SJNNV and TPNNV. Interestingly, BFNNV infects cold water fish, while RGNNV infects warm water fish. Capside is the only structure protein, and when the capsied is modified its virulence will decrease. We tried to find which part determine its virulence by dividing capsid into N-terminal and C-terminal. As known, fish fry can not produce antibodies because its immune system is still immature in the early stages, then how to improve its antivirus ability is the key problem. Here we cloned and expressed interferon related genes using yeast intracellular expression system, and then yeasts including the target protein are transported into the fish body by food chain. This is an innovative way of antivirus peptide application in aquaculture, which will improve the immunity of fish larvae and help fishermen solve current problems.
