In high-reliability fields, such as aerospace engineering and nuclear power systems, ensuring the reliability and operational safety of complex control systems is critical. Therefore, implementing effective fault-tolerant mechanisms is essential. By integrating data from multiple redundant signal sources, redundant signal voting algorithm plays a crucial role in identifying and isolating faulty signals, thereby enhancing the fault tolerance and overall reliability of complex control systems. This study provides a detailed review of the evolution of redundant signal voting algorithms in complex control system, with a particular focus on their theoretical foundations and representative applications. It explores the principles, advantages, and limitations of key algorithms, including majority voting, median voting, weighted voting, and fuzzy voting, while comparing their applicability across various scenarios. The findings indicate that, fueled by advancements in artificial intelligence and high-performance computing, these algorithms are progressively evolving toward more intelligent and adaptive paradigms. The continued advancement of enabling technologies is expected to further enhance the reliability of complex control systems.
