摘要
High-temperature superlyophobic coatings are highly desirable for anti-corrosion, anti-fouling and drag reduction under extreme conditions. However, conventional fluorinated superlyophobic coatings suffer from thermal degradation, which severely limits their use at elevated temperatures. In this work, a fluorine-free superlyophobic coating with excellent thermal stability was developed through the integration of superlyophobic particles, phenyl silicone resin, and carbon-fiber reinforcement. The superlyophobic particles were synthesized via a hydrothermal route, forming a robust Si–O–Si framework with outstanding thermal resistance. The fabricated coating maintained superlyophobic characteristics after exposure to 550 °C for 60 min, exhibiting contact angles above 150° and sliding angles below 10°. In addition, the coating demonstrated excellent resistance to acid/alkali corrosion, mechanical abrasion, and molten-salt impact. Dynamic droplet experiments showed that molten salt droplets rapidly retract and rebound on the superlyophobic coatings, demonstrating its stable liquid-repellent performance at high temperatures. This superlyophobic coating offers a practical pathway to environment-friendly, thermally durable coatings for extreme thermal conditions, which has high potentials for anti-corrosion applications in the thermal-fluid transport systems, such as petrochemical production and molten salt power generation.
