This paper aims to investigate the wear effects of WC (tungsten carbide) tool drills when drilling titanium alloy (Ti-6Al-4V) under the graphene oxide suspensions fluid and conventional coolant. During the drilling experiments, thrust force was measured during a dynamometer under the Ti-6Al-4V stacks. In addition, use Alicona 3D scanning microscope to observer the wear progression of the tool surface and to analysis the tool wear and chips effects with two different cutting fluids. For the WC drills Ti-6Al-4V in the graphene oxide cutting fluid got a lower thrust force than baseline cutting fluid, which caused a significant increase in tool wear due to the higher temperature generated. Moreover, in the graphene oxide suspensions fluid, the chip shape is better than without graphene powder in the cutting fluid. Finally, optimize parameters could get the lower thrust force, cutting temperature and decrease the tool wear.
