This paper studies the application of wavelet threshold denoising method in the classification of power quality disturbance. In the process of feature extraction of multiple power quality disturbance, wavelet threshold denoising is used to deal with the complex disturbance signal, then the extracted features are input to the support vector machine to classify the multiple power quality disturbances. Through analysis the classification accuracy of signal that extract feature directly and using wavelet threshold denoising, we can conclude that the classification accuracy of power quality disturbance using wavelet threshold denoising method improved
