Effective freshness-keeping efforts can greatly reduce the loss of fresh agricultural products in the transportation, and decrease the quality loss of fresh agricultural products. The application of nanotechnology to the field of keeping agricultural products fresh can delay product decrease and prolong product life cycle. In this paper, we consider the stochastic market demand and analysis the impact of application about nanotechnology to the supply chain of fresh agricultural products. The difference between nanotechnology preservation and traditional preservation has been discussed. The results show that the application of nanotechnology can increase the benefit of the supply chain of fresh agriculture when the freshness-keeping cost satisfies a certain range.
