In 2015, China and Australia signed a free trade agreement. The issue of agricultural trade is one of critical and important issues in the process of negotiation between China and Australia. FTA would further inspire the potential of cooperation in agricultural trade between the two countries. In this paper, the Sino-Australian agricultural trade data from 2000 to 2015 are analyzed by using Revealed Comparative Advantage(RCA), Competitive Advantage(CA), Intra-Industry Trade (IIT) and Trade Intensity Index (TII) to find characteristics and potential of agricultural trade between China and Australia. The results show that the agricultural trade between China and Australia is strongly complementary, and the competitiveness of Chinese agricultural products is not enough and lower compared with the year of 2000, but there is still great potential for cooperation among agricultural products between the two countries.
