The Department of Civil Engineering at Universiti Putra Malaysia had its humble beginning in the year 1975, and since then it has continuously contributed towards the advancement of civil engineering and related fields. With over 30 renown academics in various disciplines such as Structural, Water Resources, Geotechnical, Construction, Transportation Engineering and GIS, the department has produced over 2000 undergraduate and post graduate students while hundreds of research output in the form of high impact journals, proceedings, reports and books were published for the benefit of the learned community. The advancement and achievement the department has garnered in research and educational spectrum spanning a remarkable 3 decades are reasons enough to host and lead the ever transforming field of civil engineering. The main theme for the conference is “STEERING GLOBAL SUSTAINABILITY THROUGH CIVIL ENGINEERING”. The scientific community in civil engineering could capitalise on this conference platform to develop stronger and more organised relationships between universities, national and international research agencies.
The conference is aimed at all Engineers, academicians, researchers, managers, planners and policy makers working within the broad field of Civil Engineering. The conference conceives to promote Civil Engineering research, development and application among various relevant entities and professionals.
