Practical applications and regulations
This year is the 100th anniversary of the bacteriophage research. Despite this long tradition, several research and policy questions still remain unsolved. This is especially true for the current situation in Germany. Therefore, a highlight of the Symposium will be the Panel Discussion "Quo vadis, deutsche Bakteriophagenforschung?"on Day 3. Several organizations from the public and private sector have confirmed their participation.
Another important goal of the Symposium is to raise public awareness and to promote funding for this field in Germany. Therefore, various stakeholders and media have been invited to attend the Symposium, and in particular the Panel Discussion and Press Conference.
We would be happy to give all interested scientists the opportunitiy to get to know the work of potential cooperation partners and to develop ideas for new collaborative projects. For this reason, we have scheduled workshops at the end of the Symposium.
We hope to have designed an appealing program for you, and look forward to meeting you at the Symposium.
