Recent growth of modern colloid and interface science in Asian countries is encouraging scientists to share in-depth discussions within the regional scientific community. Realizing this the Asian Society for Colloid and Surface Science (ASCASS), organized successfully the ACCIS conference series held in several Asian cities:
• Nagoya, Japan 1st ACCIS (2005)
• Jinan, China 2nd ACCIS (2007 )
• Jeju Island, Korea 3rd ACCIS (2009)
• Tainan, Taiwan 4th ACCIS (2011)
• Darjeeling, India 5th ACCIS (2013)
• Sasebo, Japan 6th ACCIS (2015)
In 2017 Asian Society for Colloid and Surface Science will organize the 7th Asian Conference on Colloid and Interface Science on 8-11 August 2017 in Berjaya Times Square Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, MALAYSIA. The Centre of Fundamental of Science and Self-Assembly (FSSA) and the Centre of Theoretical Physics, the University of Malaya and other cooperating institutions locally and internationally will jointly host the event.
The 7th ACCIS will devote on current topics (but not limited to) on colloidal science, nano-/biotechnology, self-assembly, polymers and their applications from nanocomposites, cosmetics, personal care products, delivery systems, microelectronics, pharmaceutics and bioengineering. This meeting is open to the public and scientific communities worldwide. Academicians, scientists, researchers, including graduate students from all over the world are invited to participate and share their scientific experience in colloid & interface science and technology.
Apart from enjoying the intense scientific discussions, participants will also have the opportunity to meet scientists from different Asian countries in a truly Asian environment. The hosting city Kuala Lumpur has its own charming character known for its colorful values, races and traditions. The city has many interesting architecture, prominent landmarks and building developed over years from a small tin Miners Settlement to a growing modern city currently. The venue (Berjaya Time Square Hotel) is in the heart of Kuala Lumpur City Center only a few minutes to many city attractions like the Petronas Twin Tower, KL Tower, Central Market, Petaling Street Night Market, Independence Square etc… The venue is also attached to the monorail train system, which are connected to many interesting touristic sites like Batu Caves, National Mosque, Chow Kit Road, Lake Garden etc…
See you soon in Kuala Lumpur during the Asian Conference on Colloid and Interface Science for both science, networking and Asian experience.
