Welcome to 2017 IEEE 5th International Symposium on Robotics and Intelligent Sensors (IEEE IRIS2017). IEEE IRIS2017 will be held in Ottawa from 5th to 7th October 2017. IEEE IRIS conference series is a flagship conference of IEEE-RAS Malaysia Chapter and a premier IEEE international conference dedicated to robotics and intelligent sensors.
The conference theme is “Robotics and Sensors: Achieving Growth” reflecting the growing spectrum and recent developments in robotics and sensor technology around the world.
IRIS2017 welcomes submission of original and unpublished works related to robotics, sensors and other related areas. Accepted papers will be presented in both oral and poster presentations. The conference will consist of regular technical sessions, as well as special sessions and workshops.
The technical sessions will be designed to focus on critical areas and new findings in robotics, sensors and related technologies, targeting on specific and combined interests within the conference scope. The workshop session will be more on interactive and hands-on focusing on the proposed topics.

IRIS2017 conference theme is "Robotics and Sensors: Achieving Growth” reflecting the technology growth of robotics and sensors technology as important pillars of world's economic development and bring quality of human life to the next level. IRIS2017 will address a range of pertinent issues and themes relating to the research, innovation and application of robotics and sensors in today's global challenge. Central to this conference, is the transformation in terms of the underlying philosophy in form, content and function of robotics and sensors in the context of global arena that elicits behavioral change in people, systems and organizations in a holistic manner.
IRIS2017 welcomes submission of original and unpublished papers included but not limited to following scopes and topics.
