The International Symposium on Human Computer Interaction (HCI 2017) is pleased to invite you to respond to our Call for Submissions for SmartTechCon2017, to be held from 17 - 19 August 2017 at the REVA University, Bangalore, India
HCI (human-computer interaction) is the study of how peopleinteract with computers and to what extent computers are or are not developed for successful interaction with human beings. As its name implies, HCI consists of three parts: the user, the computer itself, and the ways they work together. The study of HCI generally has two starting points: the technology-driven and the userconcentrated design. From a computer science perspective, the focus is on technology because it runs the design of the interface which gives humans (users) the performance of the system; from a human perspective, the focus is on the users because they put demands on the functionality of the interface which runs the design of the technology (Hakansson, 2005).
The exploration of the relationship between human and computers has quickly become one of the most important study fields. Because HCI studies the relationship between human and computers, it needs supporting knowledge on both the human and the machine side.HCI involves many academic fields, such as the computer science, social and organizational psychology, human factors, engineering, interaction design, artificial intelligence, and anthropology. The design process involves interaction design, navigation design and screen design. HCI also emphasizes on the Cognition and perception, encompassing attention, memory, thought and the role of the 'senses' in HCI. The future research on HCI encompasses the emotions of the user and what is the importance of the user experience on it. It also focuses on evaluation of the user experience using number and statistics. In this symposium we invite the papers in the following topics.
